Our reclaimed wood was originally harvested from old growth forests, when tree widths reached averages of over 5 feet.  This historical wood, therefore, exhibits dense growth rings and beautiful heartwood.  It will contain checking, nail, insect, peg and mortise holes, and other remarkable characteristics adding to its already illuminating patina and fantastic appeal.  Yet another appealing attribute is that it is considerably more durable than new wood.  It has already done most of it's hygroscopic activity.
